چکیده
Workflow scheduling plays a vital role in advanced manufacturing, and it deserves research efforts to warrant further improvement. This paper proposes an intelligent workflow scheduling system (iWFSS) to integrate information, processes, and knowledge into a unified framework that provides a total solution to online scheduling. The iWFSS consists of an information system, a workflow system, and a scheduling system brought together by an integrated platform for rapid construction of domain-specific workflow scheduling systems. A knowledge representation schema and inference algorithms are designed for scheduling decisions. Effect of Changes in Membership Functions on Fuzzy Real-Time Scheduling Pranab K Muhuri 1 and K. K. However, the uncertainty associated with the timing constraints of the real time tasks makes the scheduling problem difficult to formulate. This motivates the use of fuzzy numbers to model task deadlines and completion times. This paper reports how the changes in the membership functions of the fuzzy deadlines affect the satisfaction intervals, the satisfaction of schedulability and the tasks priorities of set of a real time tasks.

Service-oriented grid environment enables a new way of service provisioning based on utility computing models, where users consume services based on their QoS (Quality of Service) requirements. In such “pay-per-use” Grids, workflow execution cost must be considered during scheduling based on users’ QoS constraints. In this paper, we propose a knowledge-based ant colony optimization algorithm (K...
